Our BBQ26SS Santa Maria grill, also known as Argentine grill, is a high-performance masterpiece — entirely made of 304 stainless steel to guarantee durability and optimal performance. This model offers an impressive 2,600 sq. in. of grilling space across five distinct areas: main adjustable grate, secondary grate, clamp grill, griddle, and roofing grill. The firebox gaucho-style brasero enables fast ignition of charcoal or firewood, while the firebrick-lined structure distributes heat evenly and minimizes heat transfer to the outer panels, ensuring long-lasting durability. Height Adjustable Grates

This feature gives you the ability to adjust the height of the grates to control the cooking temperature. Use the wheel to move the grates up or down (closer to coals = sear / farther = slow cook).

The Firebox or Brasero

Allows faster ignition of charcoal or firewood. Fire stays away from food. Once coals are ready, they fall under naturally for seamless grilling.

Una Chulada!
The craftsmanship on this grill and the customer service is unmatched! If it wasn’t for Andy taking the time to help me learn about all the different grills and e-mailing me videos and info on all the different options, I would’ve likely gone with a cheaper grill.
This is so much more than just a grill. You can easily cook everything and anything you can think of. There is plenty of space to cook different meats and veggies and still allow for great temperature control on each. You can throw a couple cast iron pots and pans and make some empanadas, fry some fish, make a salsa and still have your nice cuts of meat cooking slowly over open fire. I’ve used it a few dozen times since purchase and there is still so much more to experiment with. Highly recommend this to anyone!

I love my Tagwood BBQ26SS.
I purchased my Tagwood in December 2024. Since then I have used the grill on numerous occassions: a 21 lb. Turkey, a 17 lb. vacio, a whole pig, and beef ribs, sausages, chickens, pineapples and peppers. I do not consider myself skilled in Argentine style cooking over open fire by any means. However each of the above turned out perfectly delicious and was the star of the show according to my guests.
I am particularly impressed with the Gaucho grill. There is a distinct difference in the taste and texture of food cooked on the Gaucho grill... much different from that of meat that is smoked in American style stick burners and ceramic grills (I have cooked for years on both). Now, I rarely use them because I prefer the results I get with my Tagwood.
Though I am 79 years old, I feel like I am at the beginning of an exciting adventure as I become more familiar with my grill and the Argentine style of open fire cooking.

So versatile
There is no better way to cook picanha than over coals/open fire. We are loving our Tagwood XL. This rig has plenty of space and different zones to cook a variety of items and lots of it. It’s great for entertaining, different from smoking, because everything is out on display with an amazing WOW factor.
This unit is a beast but still moves easily in the cart. Customer service is great and I love supporting a small, family-owned business.
