FAQs

A clamp grill is commonly used to hold larger cuts of meat securely while they cook near wood fire or embers. This style is especially useful for ribs, chicken, lamb, and other cuts that benefit from slower cooking and exposure to steady radiant heat.

The drain system helps water flow out of the grill when needed, preventing moisture from accumulating inside the firebox and around the firebricks. By allowing proper drainage, it reduces the risk of mold, mildew, and unwanted buildup that can develop when water is trapped for extended periods. This feature helps keep the interior cleaner, protects the integrity of the firebricks, and contributes to the long-term durability and performance of the grill, especially in outdoor environments exposed to rain, humidity, or frequent cleaning.

304 stainless steel is generally known for its corrosion resistance, but it is not entirely immune to rust. Exposure to certain conditions can still lead to rusting. Factors that may contribute to rust on 304 stainless steel include:
Chloride exposure: Salt and other chlorides may lead to pitting corrosion, especially in coastal or marine environments.
Harsh environments: Exposure to harsh chemicals, acids, or extreme environmental conditions may affect the material.
Scratches and surface damage: Scratches may expose the surface to corrosive elements.
Care Recommendations for 304 Stainless Steel
Clean periodically using mild detergents and a soft cloth or sponge.
Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals or acids, and clean the surface promptly if contact occurs.
Minimize chloride exposure, especially in coastal areas, by rinsing off salt deposits regularly.
When appropriate, use protective coatings suitable for stainless steel.
If rust becomes visible, possible removal methods include:
Mechanical cleaning using a nylon brush, abrasive pad, or sandpaper, always following the stainless steel grain.
Chemical cleaning using mild acids such as citric acid or vinegar, followed by thorough rinsing.
Commercial stainless steel cleaners intended for rust removal.
After rust removal, the stainless steel surface should be cleaned and passivated to help restore corrosion resistance. For all methods above, always consult a professional or qualified personnel to avoid damaging the product.

    Don't Wait

I was on the fence while choosing this grill but it has surpassed my expectations. When I'm just cooking for the immediate family its so easy to just have a small fire on the left side of the fire box with the included camping grill box or sometimes I just use the grill that sits over the firebox for quick searing. When I have large BBQ's there's plenty of space to cook for the whole family. The absolute best part is clean up. Given that its stainless I can take the grates off throw them in a wide pail with soap and water, I also have used the pressure washer on the grates to clear them which has been really convenient. I can't recommend this grill enough.

    Initial Break in Cook

This tool is a monster. Initial investment in this style of cooking. Lots to learn however, my first cook kept me glued to the learning of fire management. I have off set smoke bag experience both home and competition styles with wood and lump charcoal as fuel. This tool is amazing in the construction and final build quality. Airflow is not of concern with or without the door open or closed. I utilized the grills as well as the griddle. The results exceeded my expectations. Time and patience are key similar to off set smoking of proteins. The addition of the griddle here was perfect for vegetables. Great tool, better experience.
