Built for performance and creativity, with a firebox, shovel, poker, and thoughtful extras — all designed to inspire mastery over fire.
Our SI models, like any grills made from cold-rolled steel, are prone to rusting, especially in areas exposed to the highest heat, such as the firebox. This issue is more common in regions with high humidity.
Due to the nature of this material, the BBQ may develop:
- Surface rust (oxidation)
- Heat discoloration
- Patina over time
These are natural and expected characteristics, not defects, and do not affect the performance or structural integrity of the grill.
To help preserve the grill, we recommend periodically sanding affected areas with fine sandpaper and applying a high-temperature, rust-preventive paint.
Please note:
Surface rust, oxidation, discoloration from heat, and normal wear are not covered under warranty, as they are inherent to the material and use conditions.
FAQs
Is live-fire grilling only for meat?
No. Live-fire grills can be used for vegetables, seafood, breads, cheeses, and side dishes as well as meat. The key is choosing the right heat zone and cooking surface for each ingredient.
How do you avoid burning food on a wood or charcoal grill?
Create at least two heat zones: one hotter area with embers and one cooler area with fewer or no embers. This allows food to be moved away from direct heat during flare-ups or when it needs gentler cooking. Outdoor grilling safety sources also recommend keeping grills clean to reduce grease-related flare-ups.
